Limit-Removing Heretic Project
Anyone here interested in mapping for Heretic? Made primarily for the Crispy-Heretic sourceport. Making a fun Heretic adventure but it's limit-removing while most have previously been for ZDoom ports.
There can be new textures too to fit your heretical themes, if the stock stuff isn't enough for you please share stuff you'd like! I've never mapped for Heretic but it should be fun to take advantage of its uniqueness!
If you're interested at all then please let me know what you think.

I need to sleep but before I do here's what I have so far:
AmorpheuV0.wad. If anyone has any problems with the map lineup let me know. MAP01 is what I was messing with for a bit too long (that and just messing with sky transfers) IDK if I'll keep it going so some feedback on that would be nice.<!> ATTENTION <!> I had to edit people's maps to do sky transfers since I discovered that's how they really work for Crispy Doom and not in MAPINFO which Crispy does not support. So if I screwed something up to change the sky in your map I apologize for any inconvenience my ignorance has caused.
@Walter-c I ended up leaving your map alone and if your unfinished 2nd map doesn't find a home then maybe it can be finished for a sequel!

@SilverMiner Changing the display names of the levels should be fine enough for use of HHE. But I don't even think any of this HHE stuff matters anymore since I'm not using vanilla/chocolate Heretic.
I took what was in the base TEXTURE2 and removed it from HereticLRPv0a.wad, then put all of it in the HereticLRPzanim0a.wad's TEXTURE2 and deleted its base TEXTURE1. It works now with the only problem being that UDB brings it up as an error when entering 3D mode. The textures are errors when in the menu, invisible in 3D mode, but show up fine in-game.
I'll go ahead and upload the resources for y'all to check out

@Walter-c Only the final map passed iirc due to having no real sky usage.
@NoisyVelvet Glad to hear you had a good time (and thanks for the playtest!)
@MattFright How do I do an OPTIONS lump? Is that part of a UMAPINFO? Forcing ghost monsters and for the sky transfers to render properly is a must if possible! And for this effect to remain intact assuming it's not dependent on software vs gl rendering.
@kvsari I tried but I couldn't get it right. Sorry could you please make the fix yourself? The self-referencing sector keeps separating itself when placed back in.

intro/outro map finished where I may have gone a bit too far in some places and in others not enough. Fixed MAP08's sky transfer. Other than fixing @kvsari 's map and adding info lumps it should be ready for a proper release if there are no other questionable inquiries. -

changes:- Put all of HereticLRPzanim0a.wad into the main resource WAD under TEXTURE2. Every other texture is in TEXTURE1. I still don't know why or what I did in doing it previously that made banner1 and banner 2 into hom effects. The HOMs are fixed btw.
- HW_042 and HW_043 have been replaced with the former HW_078 and HW_079, and the original HW_042 and HW_043 have been made HM_041 and HM_042
- Replaced the lava fall animation with the water fall counterpart

This map does not currently work with Crispy Heretic. You will need to play it with DSDA-Doom until the port is updated
NEW MAP (that was an absolute struggle to make wasting time with technical limitations, UDB map stats going into the red aside, having detail and then removing yet alas the map was too great and no longer had any corners to cut while still being unplayable leaving the past few days in vain).

Amorphous Euphoria Vol. 2 - Preparatory Potluck
There are more maps I want to make that wouldn't have a home except here in Amorphous Euphoria space and that's why a sequel is on the table. CUSTOM TEXTURES ALLOWED!!
This thread is to collect requests for custom assets and the like. Besides some of my favorites like lush green hedges and shiny techbase trims, it'd be nice to have some big floating spheres to lean in more towards vaporwave/vintage CGI aesthetics
As things currently stand this thread will likely hold for a year. Share textures and concepts you'd like to see in a sequel. Resources will still be curated by me though of course. If you want your map to have a dancing cat gif and a photo of your dinner surrounded by checkerboards and flowers then by all means you can!

Played MAP01 and most of MAP02. I like how you use spectre demons but got lost a lot in the second map where I only chipped away at progression after killing 4 masterminds :S
