Limit-Removing Heretic Project

Anyone here interested in mapping for Heretic? Made primarily for the Crispy-Heretic sourceport. Making a fun Heretic adventure but it's limit-removing while most have previously been for ZDoom ports.
There can be new textures too to fit your heretical themes, if the stock stuff isn't enough for you please share stuff you'd like! I've never mapped for Heretic but it should be fun to take advantage of its uniqueness!
If you're interested at all then please let me know what you think.

Things that could go in it:
- Alphabet texture of course
- cool MIDIs heheh
- replacing a sound or two with beefy RPG power-up noises
- maybe a (futuristic) middle eastern theme?
- tree textures
- Doom texture guest stars
- village under attack opener?
- animated fire textures
----below might require a switch to ZDoom----(Extended?) DehackedHeHackedbreakable potsBy popular vote we could even replace something entirely, like IDK that mace weapon and a redundant monster

Let's use some Doom 2 textures, there's thousands of Doom 2 wads that use Heretic textures, but it's never been done vice versa.

Oh yeah, hope they look good recolored for the Heretic palette.

Perhaps short-and-sweet maps, maps focused around specific artifacts (looking at you time bomb), maps making great use of ice and wind, etc.

I'll leave things as they are now (doesn't mean I won't post an update of some kind though) for until at most a month in case anyone wants to try changing the fate of this project. So after that period I'll go ahead and kick it off officially for those waiting for that blessing. In the mean time feel free to go ahead and play with how Heretic works in 'Heretic: Heretic (Doom format)' or scrounge for cool textures and stuff you'd like and post it here.

I just thought it'd be cool to have lots of animated flames in the background to start with and this helped streamline that inspiration (going through what MIDIs to use is the origin of all of this). I've also thought of adding high-tech stuff but I don't want to get too carried away right now.

Wait, did Crispy Heretic uses the ANIMATED lump? Otherwise, i don't know how to make animated textures for Heretic without making a multiple path from the original animated textures from the game...@joe-ilya actually i made this thing back in 2007 that mash-up Doom and Heretic:

@kvsari Heretic is fun IMO, finished the entire 5 episodes in 2 days a week ago, although I think the first episode is the best, just like in Doom.
I originally didn't touch it because it seemed as a lesser fun Doom clone with overreliance on switch "puzzles", but that problem applies to the sequel; Hexen -
Bought myself a copy of Heretic. @Cuppykeks , I now have HERETIC.WAD. @joe-ilya , looks like I need to give it a playthrough.

it's interesting how some projectiles move along the sector's current!
also the phoenix rod's flamethrower still uses only 1 ammo just like the normal version

The return of giffy
Wasn't successful with the ANIMATED lump but that's okay because regardless here is (through the magic of scrolling linedef animation)! If anyone else has suggestions on what many-frame animations could go in this project that'd be welcome!

anyone have suggestions on prefabs or anything in general? I'm just about done with the base resources then afterwards I'll try to see how well HeHacked holds...
