Interesting read but I'm a bit lost at the exact purpose of it. Is it supposed to be some sort of ''how to award...'' guide? Because that's ultimately highly subjective and I don't think there is a set criteria of stuff one most follow to award a map, other than your own preferences, if you're a judge of course.

I do agree that it is important to differentiate map ''types'' and judge them accordingly. You can't have a metal music awards and give the Worst Album of the Year award to a pop artist
